This Is Why I Drink: Ep. 1/25/20, Bernie Sanders, John Cusack and Big Brother
I pray for days off for you love❤
We have it here in South Africa it's pretty good😂😂
Two cubes of ice and a small tsp of water, and this stuff is really quite drinkable. Can't beat the price either...
Everyone has there taste no matter its scotch wine whiskey bourbon ect...... even if I was rich,, I keep it simple. I have had 400.00 bottle wine / 200.00 of scotch. its all about prestige, and not into prestige.. My go to is Tequila. But that is me.... Don't get me wrong, I try all types of scotch high dollar or medium cost.
I get a lot of licorice flavor. Some anise. Cloves. For a middle of the road scotch, you could do a whole lot worse...
I haven't tried this one yet do you recommend it. When it comes to Scotch I prefer a nice spayside or Isla. Watching with a Buffalo Ten Maduro and a couple of drams of Buffalo Trace
Its and INCRDEDIBLE product and I love it.
This new label is quite inconsistent. If you get a good one it truly is good for the price, if you get another one... meh very rough on the finish. Its tough making cheap blends when there are so few active casks available now days. The heavy lemon (citrus) is truly the re charred, poor quality re purposed bourbon casks trying to squeeze a little life out of them. This is the trend in the industry.
The one-litre size bottle is an attraction. Paid just under 2,000 yen last week. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit
Good reviews...
Oh man, what are😊 comments... Very nice...
Such a relaxing video, thanks for sharing this
J and B is smooth and inoffensive. Almost chuggable!
Alcholic's scotch. Cheap.
Red is horrible, alone or mix, its just horrible traste.
For me, on the rocks is how i like this scotch. Smooth and tasty. Haven't seen any aliens when drinking this scotch, either...
Unfortunatly due to the lousy economy seven years later scotch is like everything else up in price. I do still plan to buy a bottle of the clan some time.
have you ever reviewed hiram walker special old rye? love to get your impressions of it and perhaps as much info as you could as there is very little out there nor advertisement but it has been around a long time and i just recently discovered this hidden bottom shelf gem than is now my go to whisky more than scotch
It's definitely a cheaper blended scotch whiskey, good malt finish. Vanilla and honey on the nose, same on the taste and finish. Not getting much smoke but I enjoy a nice cheap blended scotch as an alternative to my love of cheaper bourbon.
I fully agree , very basic scotch
Red Label is the only whisky I have ever poured down the drain. I love the Green Label, but the red is just terrible. I “need” to check out the Black Label, but I’m not buying 70 cl. until I have tested it.
Helpful review! The glass you're drinking from is unappealingly/distractingly dirty, however.
I put it in a fancy cut crystal decanter. ..
I get NO peat what so ever in this. I feel this is a one and done for me I will NEVER purchase this again. Pallet for me went ALL OVER THE PLACE nothing stands out and flavors dissappeared as fast as they hit you.
I'm binge watching your Playlist, nice job with this so far! I like jw black for a daily scotch, my fav of that brand is green label (15 year iirc). Double black was not for me. Really enjoying your content.
I do and I don't agree on the flavor. And I do and I don't like it. And I do. It's barebones, nuts and bolts, no frills, get what you pay for, will do the trick Scotch. But I really love it, for the simplistic but quality drink that it is. Call me screwy. Spring or summertime. Yup. Like I drink my beers; Through the season. Cutty has it's season; as does Johnny Walker Black. Immerse yourself in the experience.
I can smell it from here!
I call this 'Apocalypse Scotch'.. for $15 a gallon is pretty good to drink and also serves as a gun cleaning solvent and a disinfectant. Try it folks it's great!!
Love your review on this I just picked us up I'm a scotch guy and I thought it was pretty damn good it did have some burn to it but little bit of water or on the ice and it's good
HIGHLAND QUEEN IN THE GLASS 69% BLACK COFFEE NOT TOO STRONG HUGE SIPS DONE🎉❤❤
Wtf kinda drinking is this
This is my daily scotch, and has been for decade. Affordable, enjoyable, effective utility scotch.
Do you watch family guy
So you like this more than highland queen huh
I agree with you 💯 on the Cutty Sark. It's what I recommended to people that want something smooth and drinkable but feel that Dewar's is a little too rich in smokiness and peat for them.
Let those dogs out
Its a great whisky for the price....very Nice.
Red Rocks 🥃🥇
Good review, had never tried before. For $28.00 for a 1750 ml bottle, good for the price. Don't get me wrong, love more expensive Islay scotches, but for the price drinkable and affordable to keep around.
I recently tried Laphroaig 10-Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky and loved the smoke and peat but found it to be a tad on the sweet side. If you don't mind, maybe you could give me a recommendation for a nice smokey/peaty scotch that isn't too sweet. Thank you and have a great day.
Hmmm... Maybe Old Smuggler? It's a blend, but plenty of smoke. More fruit that peat, but quite nice, especially for the price point!
@@BeardedBristol Thanks for replying and I'll definitely check it out.
I drink johhine walker red label with ice and water and it's very good. It's not bad at all it taste like a true Scotch. Only a True Scotch drinkers can drink Johhine Red Label.
Am not a drinker, but gotta try this one
interested in this one because they also make a very affordable 30 year old blend!
Not bad. I have had CVS whiskeys way worse. I mix it though it's good. And in 1561 this was probably the only thing around. If it's a true story or not who knows. It's a budget whiskey for the everyday person. Nothing fancy about it. I can 10 bottles at $100 bucks and store it for later.
i definitely pick up on the lemon
Another excellent video and a timely discussion topic.
*KINGDOM OF SCOTLAND: "Name, Address, Home Phone, Web." ― King of Scotland Kenneth MacAlpin I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X*
Found this video because there are remarkably few reviews of this whisky, like you said. Thanks for taking the time to try it out on camera! 750ml of this is $15 at my local liquor store, and I think it punches above its weight. I have a $100 Glengoyne single malt (absolutely marvelous) that I got on my last trip to Scotland, and I am trying to make it last as long as possible, so I took the opportunity to try out some cheaper whiskies. I compared the Glengarry blended side to side with a $20 Paddy's Old Irish Whiskey blended, and the Glengarry is noticeably more complex. The Paddy's is nice in its own right, and I'd probably recommend it over the Glengarry to folks who aren't fond of any smoke on their whisky, but it's just very simple. Overall for $15 I'm very happy with the Glengarry, it's extremely affordable without resorting to a plastic bottle. Loch Lomond Distillery has a single malt also called the Glengarry (with a cork!) for $30 per 750ml, and that one is quite a bit better than the blended in my opinion, particular on the nose. I'd definitely recommend giving that one a try.
Quite relaxed and excellent video. Love the background music as well
Sorry. I bought the same ( cheap brand). Turned out to be garbage. Don't believe fooled by the taste of stuff. How do you feel after or the next day?... I also thought c s. was a good Scotch, but was disappointed later. Rubbish Try a Johnny walker red. As an affordable Scotch, it's the best. Maybe try the more expensive brands of Cutty Sark. Buy The cheap brands of most whiskeys ( not all), are bad stuff
It's all about personal taste mate and how you drink it, to me Johnny walker red tastes like shite, I'd have CS over that anyday.
